Urfremføring av The (Fool’s) Game

Kom og opplev en musikkbegivenhet ved Museet for samtidskunst. Inspirert av Snorre Ytterstads kunstneriske univers har samtidskomponist Therese Birkelunds Ulvo skrevet verket The (Fool’s) Game. Tre unike stemmer vil fremføre verket blant Ytterstads verker. Konserten vil overføres til i hele utstillingsarealet, som en tonesetting av utstillingen. I mellomtiden kan barna være kreative i vårt atelier: Vi lager morsomme og tankevekkende ting inspirert av Ytterstad.

program note – Curious Endorsement

Curious Endorsement was commissioned by Eira B. Foss for her master’s exam in violin at NTNU, department of Music in Trondheim. During her studies Eira started pondering over composers relations to the audience; is it a goal to make music accessible to the general audience, or is this of lesser importance? These issues have inspired me to pick up two books: This is Your Brain on Music (Daniel J. Levitin), and Music and Memory (Robert Snyder). With these books in mind, it was impossible not to reconsider my views on musical material and organization.

La Muse

I have made a time travel. For 3 weeks I am staying at La Muse to work and find focus after a rather stressful time the last months. This is an amazing place, and I will give my biggest recommandations for every artist who needs to go away and work for a little while to come here.
